Mission Integration at St. Dominic’ s

Mission Integration is the harmonization of relationships, plans, processes, information, resource decisions, actions, results and analysis to support and monitor our mission of Christian healing in light of the sponsor’s traditions and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Like other Catholic health care organizations around the nation, St. Dominic’s welcomes the collaboration of persons from other religious traditions. We find common ground in alleviating suffering and promoting holistic well being.

The director of mission integration is a Springfield Dominican Sister trained in the theology and philosophy of Catholic health care. She is part of the corporate staff of St. Dominic Health Services. The MI director provides leadership in promoting and integrating mission, vision, and the I CARE values throughout the organization.

The director serves on the ethics and compliance committees and on ethics consultation teams. She is a performance coach and coordinator of St. Dominic’s anti-racism effort. MI services include:
•Rounding on nursing units to promote I CARE values
•In-services emphasizing the Dominican heritage of St. Dominic’s
•Instruction in Catholic social teaching for management as a support for decision making
